Zelma B. McCracken

Zelma McCracken, 89, of Diamond City, AR., better known as Zel or Sis, went to be with our Lord on January 24, 2019.

A Memorial Service will be held at Lord of The Lake Lutheran Church on Saturday, February 16 at 1 PM with Minister Dr. Shari Marshall officiating.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Lord of The Lake Lutheran Church where she was a member.

Zel was born March 7,1929 in Schuyler County, Illinois to Charles and Elizabeth Akers. She married Rodgers McCracken on February 16, 1963 in Rock Island, Illinois.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; half brothers, Leslie Akers and Paul Hubbs; half sister, Imogene Cox; brothers David and Chuck Akers and sister,Virginia Parker.

She is survived by her sister, Donna (Eugene) Reeves of Diamond City, Arkansas and brother, Max (Sharon) Akers of Fayetteville, Arkansas. She has numerous nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews and dear friends whom she cherished.

She lived in Key Largo, Florida for over thirty years and worked for Monroe County as a Senior Citizen Van Driver. Zel had lived in Diamond City since 2005.

Zel will be cremated and her ashes will be buried with her husband in Homestead, Florida. She will be missed.

Memorials may be made to Lord of the Lake Lutheran Church.
