Sondra Jolene McNelley

Sondra Jolene McNelley of Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed away July 31, 2021, in Mountain Home, AR, at the age of 67. She was born January 5, 1954, in Ottumwa, Iowa, the daughter of Edward and Lavelle Overturf Burkhalter. She married Larry McNelley on May 22, 1973, in Ottumwa, Iowa. She wore many hats at KCMH Radio Station for over a decade until her retirement. Sondra lived in Mountain Home since moving from Iowa, in 1992. She was a member of the East Side Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening, travel, spending time with her family and had a lifelong passion for horses.

Sondra is survived by her husband, Larry McNelley, of Mountain Home, AR; son, Matthew McNelley, M.D., of Mountain Home, AR and daughter, Krista McNelley, of Mountain Home, AR.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers and two sisters.

A Graveside Service for Sondra will be 11:00 am, Tuesday, August 3, 2021, at Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery, with Brother Richard Crawford officiating.

Memorials may be made in her honor to KCMH Radio, 126 South Church Street, Mountain Home, AR 72653.
