Robert John Arthur Amundsen

Robert John Arthur "Bob" Amundsen of Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed away August 26, 2021, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 84. He was born April 15, 1937, in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Clarence and Dorothy Schafer Amundsen. He married Darlene Prodell on April 7, 1962, in Illinois. Bob was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran. Bob lived in Mountain Home since moving from Ingleside, Illinois, in 1976, where he had his own contracting business. He was an Exalted Ruler with the Elks Lodge #1714 BPOE. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, shooting. He was an excellent craftsman and woodworker.

Bob is survived by his wife, Darlene Amundsen of Mountain Home, AR; two sons, Bobby Amundsen of Mountain Home, AR, and Chippy Amundsen of Mountain Home, AR; three granddaughters; and one great-grandson.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Judith.
