Richard Allen Dite of Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed away December 26, 2021, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 85. He was born October 19, 1936, in Morris, Illinois, the son of John and Mildred Dite. Richard was a U.S. Army veteran. He married Melva on June 29, 1979, in Aurora, Illinois and was a machinist and inspector for Caterpillar, Inc. Richard lived in Mountain Home since moving from Illinois, in 1984. He was a member of the Fellowship Cumberland Presbyterian Church and the Twin Lakes Gun Club. He enjoyed collecting guns, fishing, and hunting. Richard is survived by his wife, Melva Joyce Dite of Mountain Home, AR; four step-children, Randall (Anita) Powell, Regina (Kevin) Graf, Cynthia (Steve) Alsvig, and Tracy (Lanny) Dooley; brother, Ray (Lyla) Dite; sister, Lorraine; nine grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and five of his siblings. Arrangements are by Kirby and Family Funeral and Cremation Services - Mountain Home, Arkansas.
