Graveside Funeral Services for Mary Jane Reed of Cherokee Village, Arkansas, will be held at the Riverside National Cemetery in Riverside, California.
Mary Jane passed away December 10, 2019, in Batesville, Arkansas at the age of 82. She was born March 16, 1937, in Janesville, Wisconsin, the daughter of Leslie and Louise Jansen Wallace. She married Michael John Reed on August 24, 1962, in Las Vegas, Nevada and was a proud reservationist for TransWorld Airlines until her retirement. Mary Jane lived in Cherokee Village since moving from Southern California in 1992.
Mary Jane was a beautiful soul and brought a smile to all who would enter her world.
Mary Jane is survived by her daughter, Donna (Rick) Fredericksen; granddaughter, Dani (Sergio); grandson, Michael (Erica) of Hemet, CA; nephews, Jeff (Robyn) Phelps of Phoenix, AZ and Lance (Amber) Phelps of Las Vegas, NV, and their families. She is further survived locally by her dear friends and “adopted” daughter Marilyn Sullivan, “adopted” granddaughter, Brittany Crawford, the Slater family, and Mary Alice Beucher; and lastly, her three special joys in life, Sam, Sassy and Nicker who’s paw prints were her joy.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sister.
