Lavenia "Bena" McCann

Lavenia Walker McCann went to be in glory on July 9, 2018 and is preceded in death by her husband, Doyle McCann, her parents Percy Walker, and Viola Floyd Walker, her siblings Floyd Walker, Lulu Phillips, and Sue Walker. She has two daughters, Peggy Fitts of Moorhead, MS, Michelle McDaniel of Lakeview, AR and a son-in-law whom she said she adopted, Rick McDaniel. She also has 5 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Lavenia, known by those who knew and loved her, was nicknamed “Bena”. She has lived with her daughter Michelle and son-in-law Rick for 20 years. As Rick likes to say, “we’re the 3 Musketeers.” She was under the care of Hospice of the Ozarks for the past year. In lieu of flowers it is the families desire to donate to Hospice of the Ozarks. Bena loved and was devoted to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Everyone who was around Bena felt the love and peace that came from being in her presence. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, daughter, and friend to many people over the years. She will be missed immensely, but is now in the presence of the Lord of Glory.
