A Graveside Service for Larry Lee Devors of Salesville, Arkansas, will be 4:00 pm, Thursday, November 1, 2018, at Galatia Cemetery, with Preacher John Harrison officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, November 1, 2018, from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home.
Larry went to be with the Lord on October 27, 2018, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 73. He was born July 8, 1945, in Cedar Lake, Indiana, the son of Garth Lee and Bessie Marie Rainwater Devors. He was an only child. After he graduated from Kankakee High School in 1963, he moved to Aroma Park, where he started a family, owned and ran a bait shop, was chief of the Aroma Park Fire Department, and worked full time at General Foods. In 1980, he moved to Arkansas, where he hunted and fished to feed his family until he was able to find work at Epoxyn Products. After that, Larry enjoyed the lake and outdoors. He married Kay Moore on February 11, 1989, in Mountain Home, Arkansas and he proudly accepted Kay's three children. He was a member of the Norfork Church of Christ, Twin Lakes Bowling Hall of Fame, and the Striper and Walleye Clubs of Mountain Home. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, bowling, and taking pictures of the sunrises. He loved his family dearly.
Larry is survived by his wife, Kay Devors of Mountain Home, AR; daughter, Laura Ann (Dennis) Hoover of Centerton, AR; son, Michael Lee Devors of Mountain Home, AR; daughter, Amy Jo (Mark) Shier of Rose Bud, AR; son, Jason Lee (Joni) Devors of Mountain Home, AR; daughter, Yvonne Lea (Scott) Taylor of Norman, OK; son, Jonathan Ward Toomer of Searcy, AR; son, Nicholas Joseph Toomer of Manitou, OK; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren, and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Perry Lee Devors; daughter, Tammy Sue Devors; granddaughter, Megan Havens; daughters-in-law, Melissa Toomer and Tara Toomer.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Ozarks or Norfork Church of Christ.
