Joyce Pate

Joyce Pate, 78, of Mountain Home, Arkansas passed away peacefully October 3, 2021 at Hospice of the Ozarks in Mountain Home. Joyce was born May 17, 1943, in Blytheville, Arkansas to Lonnie Edgar and Grace Langston Miller.

Joyce was fiercely devoted to her family and was a faithful member of The Bridge Missionary Baptist Church in Mountain Home.

Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Aaron E. Pate; her parents; her siblings, Jerome Miller, David Miller, Elizabeth Miller and Lois Pace.

Joyce is survived by her sons Mark Beaird (Cynthia), of Tucson, AZ and Richard Byrum (Amber), of Mountain Home, AR; her daughter, Damona Hawks (Kevin) of Warrensburg, MO; Her step-daughter Denise (Thor) Capehart. Her loving grandchildren; Cade Darby, Amber Capehart, PT Capehart, Ashley Bryles, Jacquelyn Vick, Garrett Hawks, James Duke, Anna Grace McDaniel and Walker Byrum; and great grandchildren Macy Darby, Jake Darby, Cody Darby, Caitlyn Darby, Riley Grace Capehart, London Bryles, Huxley and Greyson Duke.

A Celebration of Life for Joyce will be 2:00 pm, Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at The Bridge Missionary Baptist Church in Mountain Home.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations to the Hospice of the Ozarks, St. Jude's Hospital or American Cancer Society.
