A Funeral Service for JoAnna Lorene Tompkins of Gassville, Arkansas, will be 2:00 pm, Friday, December 29, 2017, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Brother Ronnie Thomas officiating. Visitation will be Friday, December 29, 2017, from 12:00 pm until time of service, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home.

JoAnna passed away December 23, 2017, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 78. She was born November 16, 1939, in Fisk, Missouri, the daughter of Luther and Thelma Bland. She married Cordell Tompkins, Jr. on August 20, 1965, in Pontiac, Michigan and worked as a General Foreman for General Motors Corporation. JoAnna lived in Gassville since 1997, moving from Michigan. She enjoyed playing Bingo, gardening, snowmobiling, and morel hunting. She lived a full and beautiful life, with no regrets, with her husband Cordell, of 52 years

JoAnna is survived by her husband, Cordell Tompkins, Jr. of Gassville, AR; son, Randy and Kim Tompkins, of Hayesville, NC; four daughters, Ronda and Chris Bland of Stewartsville, MO, Robin Tompkins and Dan Justice, of Holly, MI, Reba and Dan Slivinski, of Gaylord, MI, Roxanne and Billy Barrett, of Gassville, AR; six grandchildren, Nick, Brad, Donnie, Derek, Travis, Tanner and several great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Loretta and two brothers, Larry and Jimmy.
