Jennifer passed away August 20, 2019, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 38. She was born January 4, 1981, in Honolulu, Hawaii, the daughter of Richard and Nancy Wheeler. She married Dean Gomes on March 29, 2014, in Hawaii. She graduated, with honors, from the University of Hawaii and received two bachelor's degrees in history and historic preservation. She was a member of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. Jennifer lived in Flippin since moving from Honolulu, Hawaii, in 2014. She loved history, writing stories, drawing, music, movies, cooking, and exploring new places.
Jennifer is survived by her husband, Dean Brian Uila Gomes, Jr. of Bull Shoals, AR; son, Mason Edward Uila Kolohe Gomes; parents, Richard and Nancy Wheeler of Bull Shoals, AR; paternal grandmother, Constance O. Wheeler of Bull Shoals, AR.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Richard and Dorothy Kessler; and paternal grandfather, Major Wheeler.
Memorials may be made to the family.
