Esther Elizabeth Gardner Cote Klein

Esther Elizabeth Gardner Cote Klein passed away June 16, 2018, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 87. She was born March 6, 1931, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Clayton Gardner and Florence Tomlinson Gardner. She married Lewis Miller Cote in 1948. After Lewis passed away, she married Dr. A. Deo Klein on November 28, 1980, in Winter Park, Florida. Esther lived in Mountain Home since moving from Florida in 1997. She enjoyed playing Bridge, traveling, reading, and herding her children through life. She was an avid water skier when she was younger. She greatly enjoyed her friends and was active in her community.

Esther is survived by her son, Lee Cote of Austin, TX; daughter, Linda Cote of Centennial, CO; daughter, Letty Girardet of Geneva, Switzerland; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, and counting.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband Deo and son Larry Cote.

A Celebration of Life Gathering for Esther's friends will be hosted by her family at her home on Friday, June 22nd, between 3:00 and 5:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the Donald W. Reynolds Library serving Baxter County or the Humane Society of North Central Arkansas.
