Our loving mother, Doris Lee Simpson Mullins, went home to be with Jesus on Monday, November 19, 2018. She will be greatly missed by all those she left behind.
She was born March 28, 1926, in White County, Illinois, the daughter of Anderson and Nellie Wilson Simpson. She married Paul Mullins on June 4, 1944, in White County, Illinois. They were self-employed restaurant owners in Michigan. They retired to Florida in the early 90's. Doris lived with her children in various states before moving to Mountain Home in 2013. She enjoyed bird watching, sewing, being with her family and reading.
Doris is survived by her children, Paul (Dolly) Mullins, Jr. of St. Petersburg, FL, Dolores (Lloyd) Whittaker of La Vergne, TN, Mark Mullins of Wichita Falls, TX, Michael (Julie) Mullins of Forth Worth, TX and Cheryl Helt of West Port, CT; three sisters, Flora (Lowell) Shrable of Gepp, AR, Jo (Richard) Byrd of Mountain Home, AR and Betty Collins of Scottsburg, IN; thirteen grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, twelve great-great-grandchildren; one great-great-great-grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers, one sister and two grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be the 2nd Saturday (8th) of June, 2019. The time and place will be determined at a later date.
Arrangements are by Kirby and Family Funeral and Cremation Services - Mountain Home, Arkansas.
