Doreen passed away January 31, 2019, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 86. She was born February 18, 1932, in Geneseo, Illinois, the daughter of Arthur and Sadie Echkout DePauw. She married Jerry DeBruyne on February 3, 1951, in Geneseo and worked as a Nurse's Aide. Doreen lived in Mountain Home since moving from Longview, Texas, two years ago. She was a member of St. Peter The Fisherman Catholic Church. She enjoyed playing Mahjong, Mexican Train, card games and watching television.
Doreen is survived by her husband, Jerry Debruyne of Mountain Home, AR; two sons, Shawn DeBruyne of Mountain Home, AR and Chad DeBruyne, of Longview, TX; daughter, Ann Sowells of Yellville, AR; brother, Richard DePauw of Rock Island, IL and many special friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Diane Glazier and Donna Johnson.
Burial will be in the Rock Creek Cemetery, Harriet, Arkansas.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Peter The Fisherman Catholic Church, 249 Dyer Street, Mountain Home, AR 7253 or Hospice of the Ozarks, 701 Burnett Drive, Mountain Home, AR 72653.
