David graduated from Elston High School in Michigan City, and in 1952 he married Janella Hart. David was employed by the United States Steel (Gary Works) as weighmaster and field auditor for 30 years. After retirement from USS in 1986, he and Janella moved to Mountain Home where he founded a commercial print shop, Pinnacle Printers Ink, which succeeded for 30 years. David's interests included gardening, teaching himself to play piano, and most of all traveling. He and Janella visited 45 states in their journeys. He was a Civil War buff, a loyal fan of the Chicago Blackhawks and White Sox, and a shareholder of the Green Bay Packers. He served as President of the Humane Society of North Central Arkansas for 8 years, during which time a new shelter was built for the community. David enjoyed his accomplishments but was most proud of his family.
