Curtis passed away June 8, 2019, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 58. He was born January 28, 1961, in Aberdeen, South Dakota, the son of Richard and Joyce Lunzmann Karlen. He married Julie Lynn Sands on March 28, 1981, in Orange, California and worked as a Construction Project Manager. Curtis lived in Mountain Home since moving from Ft. Collins, Colorado, in 2008. He enjoyed his grandchildren, fishing, motorcycles, cigars and building things.
Curtis is survived by his wife, Julie Lynn Karlen of Mountain Home, AR; mother, Joyce Karlen of Belen, NM; son, Christopher (Elizabeth) Karlen of Bangor, ME; daughter, Christine (Robert) Bartlett of Ft. Collins, CO; brother, Bruce (Wendy) Karlen of Corona, CA; sister, Peggy Martell of Belen, NM; grandchildren, Annesley and Makayah Kuenz, Caydence and Alysandra Hunt and Maddox and Cole Karlen and mother-in-law, Janet Sands.
He was preceded in death by his father.
