Cecil Eugene Sutterfield

A Funeral Service for Cecil "Sam" Eugene Sutterfield of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 10:00 am, Friday, March 6, 2020, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home, with Pastor Joshua Passmore officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, March 5, 2020, from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home.

Sam passed away March 2, 2020, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 76. He was born March 24, 1943, in Mountain Home, Arkansas, the son of Wilburn and Carrie Avey Sutterfield. He married Juanita Copeland on December 23, 1961, in Mountain Home, Arkansas. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and working on cars. He loved to sit in the yard and visit with family and friends. Sam enjoyed working in the garden, playing with the grandbabies, and was always willing to help anyone he could. His greatest love was his family and listening to George Jones.

Sam is survived by his wife, Juanita Sutterfield of Mountain Home, AR; son, Paul (Wendy) Sutterfield of Mountain Home, AR; three daughters, Wanda Sue Goss of Mountain Home, AR, Bonnie (Joe) Sutterfield of Mountain Home, AR, and Patty (Harvey) Loosey of Mountain Home, AR; ten grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; two great-grand fur babies; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, two sisters, and a son-in-law.

Burial will be in the Arkana Cemetery, Mountain Home, Arkansas, with Jeremy Goss, Timothy Goss, Adam Goss, David Cheffey, Tony Sutterfield, and Paul Sutterfield as pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jason Stone, Sean Woods, and Randy Loosey.
