Betty J. Taylor

March 9, 1935 - September 26, 2021

Betty Jean LaRue Taylor of Lakeview, AR was welcomed into her earthly life by her parents, Claudous and Pearl Newbill on March 9, 1935 in Vega, Texas. On September 26, 2021, Betty Jean was welcomed into her eternal home by her Savior, Jesus Christ. She was preceded in death by her spouse of 51 years, Hubert Glen LaRue as well as her grandparents, parents, three brothers, and two grandchildren, Will Boyer and Eric Simpson. Her survivors include her spouse of 16 years, Reuben Taylor; sister, Esta Voyles, three children; Mike (Susie) LaRue; Joe (LaDell) LaRue; and Nan (Mickey) Yeager, and two stepchildren: Tony (Susan) Taylor; Cleda (Dale) Simpson. Reuben and Betty Jean shared 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. She left behind many friends but will see many more in her eternal home. Betty Jean was a member of Bull Shoals Methodist Church in Bull Shoals, Arkansas. Professing her faith, she loved being with people, especially her family. She enjoyed family games and get togethers. Bull Shoals Lake and the White River provided entertainment to her as she often partook of walks and drives around both, as well as boating and other water activities. Fall was her favorite time of year and she enjoyed seeing the change of seasons, bringing God’s paintbrush to the tree scenery. Visitation will be Sunday, October 3, 2021, 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm, at Kirby & Family Funeral & Cremation Services in Bull Shoals, AR. A Graveside Service for Betty Jean will be 10:00 am, Monday, October 4, 2021, at Fairview Cemetery on Hwy 178, with Rev. Dr. Charles "Pete" Beevers officiating. Due to current restrictions, masks are required. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be given to Hospice of the Ozarks. Arrangements are by Kirby and Family Funeral and Cremation Services - Bull Shoals, Arkansas. Visit an online obituary and guestbook at www.kirbyandfamily.com.
