Graveside services for Elma E. Ross of Cotter, Arkansas, will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, August 3, 2010 at Walnut Hill Cemetery, with Reverend Sara Gotschall officiating.

Elma died Thursday, July 29, 2010 at Hiram Shaddox Geriatric Center, at the age of 91. She was born June 11, 1919 in Richland Center, Wisconsin, the daughter of James and Neva Ripley McClaren. She married Howard Ross in 1949 at Chicago, Illinois. She worked as a supervisor for Schwinn Bicycles. Elma lived in Cotter, Arkansas since 1990 moving from Richland Center, Wisconsin.

Elma is survived by her step-son, Donald (Nancy) Ross of Chicago, IL; sister, Carol Theobald of Cotter, AR; 5 nieces, Robyn Theobald (Bud Leininger) of Cotter, AR, Bonnie Theobald of Flippin, AR, Linda Favia of Mt. Prospect, IL, Ann Newcomb of Salem, WI and Nevette Johnson of Spring Grove, IL; 2 nephews, Ray Theobald of Gassville, AR and Jim Franklin of Chicago, IL; 3 grandchildren, several grand nieces and nephews and her beloved dog, Peggy Babe.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 1 brother and 1 sister.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
