John died Thursday, July 22, 2010 at his residence at the age of 93. He was born October 7, 1916 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Edwin and Helen Cox Burgess. He married Dorothy Rowe on May 27, 1939 at Norrige, Illinois and was the Vice President of an asphalt company. John lived in Mountain Home, Arkansas since 1984 moving from Chicago, Illinois. Dorothy passed away in 1990 and he married Treva Albright on January 4, 1991.
John is survived by his wife, Treva Burgess of Mountain Home, AR, 1 son, John Roger Burgess III of Gassville, AR; 3 daughters, Judith Ann Klink of Mountain Home, AR, Patricia Dale Wilcks of Mountain Home and Beverly Brannan of Taylorville, Illinois, 6 grandchild and 10 great-grandchildren.
Memorial may be made to Hospice of the Ozarks.
He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Dorothy Rowe Burgess and 1 grandchild.
