Memorial Services for Barbara Ann Stutzriem of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 3:00 P.M. Sunday, March 21, 2010; Visitation 2:00 - 3:00 P.M. at the Deer Creek Christian Church in University Park, Illinois. She died Saturday, March 6, 2010 in Mountain Home, Arkansas, at the age of 78. Barbara was born in Harvey, IL, the daughter of Rudolph and Ethel Stevens Grueter. She worked as a Secretary for Park Forest, Illinois Public Schools for 20 years.

She was a devoted member of the Deer Creek Christian Church in Illinois. She grew up during the Great Depression, and that made her appreciate the good things in life. She was a kind-hearted person, "an Angel", who volunteered her time at church and at nursing homes, anywhere she was needed. She never had a harsh word for anyone, and was the best Mom a person could have. Barbara was an avid sports fan, but above all she loved her Cubs.

Barbara Stutzriem is survived by her daughters, Deborah (David) Madgiak of Mountain Home, AR, Gail Novak of Peotone, IL and Carol (John) Van Donk of Beecher, IL, sons, Earle (Dean) Stutzriem of Markham, IL and Gerald (Lynn) Stutzriem of Lawton, OK, 13 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers and 1 sister.

Memorials may be made to the Deer Creek Christian Church (Missions Fund) 425 Exchange Street University Park, IL 60484, www.deercreek.org.

Arrangements are by Kirby & Family Funeral & Cremation Services.
