William Edward Colson passed away February 10, 2018, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 87. He was born August 12, 1930, in Mount Hope,
Wisconsin, the son of Wilbur and Alice Whiting Colson. He married Patsy Blount in Clinton, Iowa and worked for Clinton Corn. William lived in Mountain Home since moving from Iowa in 2014.
William is survived by his daughters, Leah (David) Steinmann of Clinton, IA and Lona Friedline of Freeport, IL; his sons Cory (Shelley) Colson of Salesville, AR and Carlton (Pat) Colson of Bettendorf, IA; 11 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
He was the eldest of 14 children and worked on the family farm in Wisconsin until he moved to Iowa and met his wife Patsy, whom he was married to for 51 loving years. He loved his bothers and sisters dearly. He enjoyed fishing, coon hunting and spending time with his family. His passion in life was his wife Patsy and God.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Patsy and his son, Howard.
Burial will be in the Springdale Cemetery, Clinton, Iowa.
