Walter E. "Gene" Dennis

A Gathering of Friends for Walter E. "Gene" Dennis of Yellville, Arkansas, will be from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Thursday, March 16, 2017, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home, Mountain Home.
Gene passed away March 10, 2017, in Yellville, Arkansas at the age of 80. He was born November 19, 1936, in Pinckneyville, Illinois, the son of James and Hazel McCrary Dennis. He married his high school sweetheart, Mary Pullen on December 20, 1955, at Monmouth, Illinois and was a telephone cable repairman. Gene was a U.S. Army veteran. Gene lived in Yellville since 1997. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and visiting with friends.
Gene is survived by his four sons, James Dennis of Dubois, WY, Mike (Shawn) Dennis of Flippin, AR, Pat (Melody) Dennis of Flippin, AR, and Brian Dennis of Thermopolis, WY; sister, Toni Kay (Jerry) Arthur of Illinois; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 52 years; sister, June; and brother, Pat.
Memorials may be made to charity of choice.
