Funeral Services for Vonda Gayle Tanner of Ash Flat, Arkansas, will be private.
Gayle passed away August 31, 2014, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 58. She was born April 2, 1956, in Thayer, Missouri, the daughter of Mart and Hattie Jackson Abney. She married Russell Tanner on August 31, 1973, at Agnos, Arkansas and was a Para Professional for Cherokee Elementary School. Gayle attended the Church of Christ and enjoyed flower gardening, visiting thrift stores, and drinking coffee.
Gayle is survived by her husband, Russell Tanner of Ash Flat, AR; two sons, Gary (Sara) Tanner of Agnos, AR, and Stephen (Katti) Tanner of Broken Arrow, OK; five grandchildren, Matthew, Lucas, Allyson, Malachi, and Vivian Tanner; three brothers, Gene (Mary) Abney of Agnos, AR, James (Linda) Abney of Agnos, AR, and Dean (Patti) Abney of Agnos, AR; three sisters, Faye (Glenn Ray) Bishop of Agnos, AR, Aletta (Herb) Pitchford of Glencoe, AR, and Rhonda (Billy) Smart of Agnos, AR; several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, aunts, and uncles.
Burial will be in the Agnos Cemetery at a later date.
Memorials may be made to Agnos Cemetery Fund in care of Tina Hall.
Arrangements are by Kirby and Family Funeral and Cremation Services.
