A Celebration of Life for Tommy Gene Pearson of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 3:00 pm, Thursday, February 1, 2018, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Bill Hughes officiating.

Tommy passed away January 28, 2018, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 69. He was born June 25, 1948, in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, the son of Lydia and Ted Pearson Cavaness. After being apart for 45 years, he reconnected with his soul mate Brenda, and the two were married on January 10, 2015, in Plymouth, California. He was a chef and restaurateur. Tommy was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He received two Purple Hearts and two Bronze Stars. Tommy lived in Mountain Home since December of 2017, moving from California. His passion was fishing.

Tommy is survived by his wife, Brenda Pearson of Mountain Home, AR; son, Jon (Melissa) Pearson of Pennsylvania; grandchildren, Alexander, Nicholas, and Jessica; stepchildren, Jami (Kevin) Palmgren of Michigan and Shannon Hyde of California; 9 step grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and two sisters, Sue Shelton and Marie Rush.

He was preceded in death by his parents and older brother.

Burial will be in the Arlington National Cemetery with Military Honors.

Memorials may be made to the Disabled American Veterans.
