Steve Jeffery Eastwold

October 8, 1957 — December 13, 2017

A Celebration of Life for Steve Jeffrey Eastwold of Flippin, Arkansas, will be at 2:00 PM Sunday, December 17, 2017, at Flippin High School Gym.

Steve passed away December 13, 2017, in Bull Shoals, Arkansas, at the age of 60. He was born October 8, 1957, in Ottawa, Illinois, the son of John and Delores Cole Eastwold. He married Cynthia Ann Barrett on June 19, 1982 in Mountain Home, Arkansas.

Steve Eastwold was a kind and generous man who cared greatly about his family, friends, and community. He did many things to make this a great place to visit and live. Steve was the man who arranged and lit the fireworks at Bull Shoals Dam. He was the man who quietly donated his time and money to multiple events in order to bring tourism to the area. He was the man who donated free rental boats and guided river trips to charities and he was the man who would give the shirt off his back and the money out of his pocket to those in need. Steve was a successful business owner and one of the original Bass Cat dealers. He was an innovator in bringing speed to the water. Steve was passionate about education, a member of the Flippin School Board and the Arkansas Board of Education. He served on the board of directors of First Service Bank.

Steve was the epitome of hard work, dedication, and caring about others before oneself. Steve loved his animals and was an avid sportsman who loved hunting, fishing, and boating. Surprisingly, he also piloted an offshore race boat for the team, Two Cocks Fighting.

Steve is survived by his wife, Cindi Eastwold of Flippin, AR; sons, Kevin (Deena) Eastwold, and Ryan (Morgan) Eastwold; brother, Ricky Eastwold; granddaughter, Eva Eastwold; the sons of his heart, Scott and Max Jackson; and nephew, Cody Jackson, as well as all the friends and family, included in the wide net of his life.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to the Steve Eastwold Memorial Fund.
