Stella Jane Mitchell of Pocahontas, Arkansas loving mother, wife, sister, and friend went to her eternal home on October 22, 2016. Just one month after her 64th birthday Stella passed away in Mountain Home, Arkansas surrounded by her family.
She was born September 28, 1952, in Imboden, Arkansas, the daughter of Halbert and Louise Dail Due. She married Danny Mitchell on July 3, 1969, in Pocahontas, Arkansas and worked as a supervisor at Scentations and as a homemaker.
She was gentle, loving, and taught us all patience and kindness. Stella loved spending time with her family, reading, being outside, puzzles, cooking, gardening, and going to yard sales. She will be deeply missed, but her loving memory will live on in the lives that she touched.
Stella is survived by her husband, Danny Mitchell of Pocahontas, AR; three daughters, Tracy Denny (Roy Smith) of Van Buren, AR, Denise Mitchell (Anthony Thomas) of Mountain Home, AR and Samantha Mitchell (Ewald Kirschner) of Pocahontas, AR; three grandchildren, Charles (Tanya) Guilliams of Van Buren, AR, Christopher (Izabella) Sims of Anchorage, AK and Noah Denny of Van Buren, AR; great-grandchildren, Melody and Sebastian Sims; three brothers, Paul Due of Ravenden, AR, Frank Due, Jr. of Pocahontas, AR and Roger (Imsoon) Due of Cheltenham, VA, and two sisters, Melissa Zink of Thayer, MO and Linda Taffar of Flint, MI.
She is preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, James Due, Johnny Newman, Jerry Newman and one sister, Linda Dunlap.
Memorials can be made to Hospice of the Ozarks Hospice House in Mountain Home.
Funeral Services for Stella Jane Mitchell will be held 2:00 pm, Friday, October 28, 2016, at the Ravenden Baptist Church, with Pastor Wayne Hurst officiating.
Final resting place will be in the Dail Cemetery, Ravenden, Arkansas with Charlie Guilliams, Noah Denny, Donny Hancock, Buford Due and Roy Smith as pallbearers.
Christopher Sims will serve as Honorary pallbearer.
