A Memorial Service for Shirley Marie Gadbury of Lakeview, Arkansas, will be 2:00 pm, Friday, October 16, 2015, at Bethel Baptist Church, with Pastor Pat Norris officiating.
Shirley passed away October 1, 2015, in Gassville, Arkansas at the age of 87. She was born April 13, 1928, in Reynoldsville, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Leonard and Vera Blacker Sprankle. She married Berlie Gadbury on July 16, 1957, at Chicago, Illinois and worked as a secretary for her husband's home-based contracting business. Shirley lived in Lakeview since 1986, moving from Chicago, Illinois. She enjoyed playing the organ, completing word mazes and loved animals. She was a Sunday School teacher and was a member of the Calvary Bible Church for 29 years.
Shirley is survived by her two daughters, Carol (Fred) Hosmer of Lakeview, AR and June Wages of Lakeview, AR; two brothers, Robert Sprankle of Romeoville, IL and Gary Sprankle of Tuscon, AZ; two granddaughters, Kim and Michelle and four great-granddaughters all from IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two brothers, Leonard and Tommy Sprankle and one sister, Eleanor Wells.
Memorials may be made to Humane Society of North Central Arkansas.
