Robert "Whitey" Yeider

Robert “Whitey” Yeider, 95, born November 11, 1921 in Lawton, Michigan died March 7, 2017 in Mountain Home, AR. He grew up in Kansas, Texas and Arkansas with his sister Betty and his parents Alva and Mabel. While completing his degree in structural engineering he was called into service for WWII and the Korean War as an aviation engineer. Once back home he worked as a structural steel engineer at AFCO Steel. He retired to the White River where he was an avid outdoor sportsman earning the Triple Trophy award over 15 years in a row and becoming the oldest Triple Trophy winner at age 92. His final days were spent at River Lodge Assisted Living surrounded by a gregarious community and wonderful friends. He had two daughters, two granddaughters and two great-granddaughters. Those who knew him best understood that he always liked things to match up.
