Robert Gene Forshee

A Gathering of Friends and Family will celebrate the life of Robert Gene “Bob” Forshee from Mountain Home, Arkansas on Sunday, March 26, 2017, from 1:00pm until 4:00pm at Baue Funeral Home, St Charles, Missouri.

Bob passed away peacefully at his home in Mountain Home surrounded by family on March 19, 2017. He was born on August 14, 1939, the son of Amiel and Mabel Forshee. He lived in St. Louis off of Forest Park Boulevard. On July 17, 1965, he married the LOVE of his life, Rose Marie Dement. He spoke often of how it was “Love at first sight”!

Bob served in the United States Army as a Sharpshooter. He worked at GM (General Motors) for 30 years and never took a sick day. He retired in 1988 to enjoy many years of fishing on beautiful Norfork Lake, located in Mountain Home, Arkansas. He was also a member of The American Legion Post# 444 and was a Mason.

Bob is survived by his wife of 52 years, Rose Marie; his five sons, Ricky (Jean), Dennis (Debbie), Steve (Wendy), Dale, and Shane (Connie); and his two daughters, Tina (Mike) and Rose Ann (James). Bob has many grandchildren and great-grandchildren that he loves dearly! He also has a brother, Clarence (Buz) Ruhr and sister, Dorothy Bartholomew. He is preceded in death by his parents, his sister Delores Callahan, brothers Amiel and Wayne Forshee, daughter-in-law Angela Forshee, and grandson Jason Guinn.

A Private Graveside Service will be held for family only on March 27, 2017 at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, 2009 Sheridan Rd, St Louis MO 63125. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
