A Graveside Service for Robert L. Buckley of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 10:00 am, Wednesday, September 3, 2014, at the Rock Island National Cemetery, with Father Sebastian Tumusiime officiating and military honors by the U.S. Army Honor Guard.
Robert passed away August 27, 2014, in Mountain Home, Arkansas, at the age of 91. He was born August 19, 1923, in Farley, Iowa, the son of John and Ida Bachman Buckley. He married Mary Mital on July 26, 1963, at Coal Valley, Illinois and worked as a Mechanical Assembler for Ametek, Inc. in East Moline, Illinois. Robert was a U.S. Army veteran of WW II and lived in Mountain Home since 1977, moving from Geneseo, Illinois. He was a member of the VFW and enjoyed camping and working on cars.
Robert is survived by his wife, Mary Buckley of Mountain Home, AR; son, Steven (Anita) Buckley of Gilbert, AZ; three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and three sisters.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of North Arkansas.
