Richard Lloyd Zeiger

A Funeral Service for Richard Lloyd Zeiger of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, April 18, 2015, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Harold Fite officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, April 18, 2015, 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel.

Richard passed from this life April 14, 2015, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 76. He was born May 19, 1938, in Ravenden Springs, Arkansas, the son of Edward and Mary Ellen Ogden Zeiger. He married Sharon Turpin on July 15, 1961, at Ravenden, Arkansas and worked in tool & dye for Caterpillar Tractor Company in Aurora, Illinois. Richard was a U.S. Army veteran. Richard lived in Mountain Home since 1994, moving from Montgomery, Illinois. Richard enjoyed fishing, hunting and loved spending time with his family.

Richard is survived by his wife, Sharon Zeiger of Mountain Home, AR; daughter, Tonya (Dave) Poplawski of Yorkville, IL; son, Kevin (Gini) Zeiger of Montgomery, IL; five grandchildren, Brittany Dilling, Bryce Tweedy, Nolan Tweedy, Conner Zeiger, and Caden Zeiger; three great-grandchildren, Olivia Carter, Nathan Carter, and Makayla Rose Peterson; brother, Robert (Louise) Zeiger of Aurora, IL and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brother and five sisters.

Burial will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery, Mountain Home, AR, with Steve Prestidge, Phil Coyne, Waymon Wells, Bryce Tweedy, Nolan Tweedy and Ryan Grossklag as pallbearers. Military Honors will be provided by the Ozark V.F.W. Post #3246 Honor Guard.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
