Funeral Services for Matthew Arnold Smytkowski of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be Saturday, August 15, 2015 at Colonial-Wojciechowski Funeral Home, Niles, Illinois. A memorial service will be held in Mountain Home, Arkansas, at a later date.
Matthew passed away July 26, 2015, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 79. He was born November 26, 1935, in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Adam Matthew and Sophia Josephine Bogdan Smytkowski. He spent much of his life working in metal manufacturing and engineering. Matthew lived in Mountain Home on and off since 1985. He enjoyed sharing stories and telling jokes.
Matthew is survived by his daughter, Leanne Hamidzadeh of Woodland Hills, CA; son, Patrick Smytkowski of Euclid, OH; three grandchildren, Alexander Hamidzadeh of Woodland Hills, CA, Olivia Hamidzadeh of Woodland Hills, CA, and Nicholas Smytkowski of Euclid, OH; several cousins, and was the beloved nephew of Lillian Gancarz.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Burial will be in the Saint Adalbert Cemetery, Niles, Illinois.
Arrangements are by Kirby and Family Funeral and Cremation Services.
