A Gathering of Friends and Relatives for Marion Lorena Kennedy Burke of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be from 11:00am until 2:00pm, Friday, August 19, 2016, at the family home at 905 Oak Meadow Lane, Mountain Home, AR 72653.

Marion passed away August 9, 2016, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 102. She was born May 2, 1914, in Susquehanna, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Milton and Lorena Payne Kennedy. She married Edward Bogdziewicz on December 24, 1934, at Scranton, Pennsylvania and worked as a secretary for the Federal Aviation Agency for 30 years. Marion lived in Mountain Home since 1979, moving from Houston, Texas. She had been a member of the American Legion Auxiliary since 1981. She enjoyed playing bridge and knitting hats, which she donated to Peitz Cancer Support House.

Marion is survived by her daughter, Judy (Dr. Philip) Hardin of Mountain Home, AR; three grandchildren, Deborah Hardin of Santa Fe, NM, Laurie Hardin of Mountain Home, AR and Dr. Erik (Lindsey) Hardin of Fayetteville, AR; five great-grandchildren, Dylan, Meadow, Cora, Kaiden and Ash; nephew, Norman Burtt; niece, Rebecca Burtt and special friends, Glenda Powell, Judy Clark and Christina Fleckner, her recent caregivers.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Robert Kennedy; sister, Doris Waldron and niece, Barbara Ann Burtt.

Memorials may be made to the Food Bank of North Central Arkansas or Hospice of the Ozarks.
