Mr. Joseph Horchak
March 17, 1922 — April 10, 2015
On Friday, April 10, 2015, at 3:15 pm, Joseph Horchak passed away at the Hospice of the Ozarks Hospice House in Mountain Home, Arkansas, at the age of 93. During his last hours, his daughter, Jacqui Blackwood, was by his side.
Joseph was born March 17, 1922, in Breziner, Pennsylvania, the son of Charles and Pearl Deskovich Horchak. He married Betty Wargo on January 8, 1944, in Iselin, Pennsylvania, and was a shipping clerk and truck driver for Commercial Heat Treat. Joseph lived in Mountain Home since moving from Presque Isle, Michigan, in 1997.
Joseph is survived by his three sons, Joseph C. Horchak (Jackie) of Roseville, CA, Michael Horchak (Pam) of Hammond, LA, and Douglas Horchak (Tanya) of McKinney, TX; daughter, Jacqui Blackwood (Fred) of Holly, MI; ten grandchildren, Jennifer Brophy, Lisa Gorham, Christine Sehler, Jeff Horchak, Greg Horchak, Sefton Greig, Holly Grafton, Rebecca Gutierrez, Joseph C. Horchak II, and Jessica Gatlin; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, his four brothers (Michael, John, Alex and George), and sister (Judy).
Funeral Services for Joseph Horchak of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be private.
