A Remembrance Service for Gary Lee Wheelock of Flippin, Arkansas, will be 11:00 am, Wednesday, June 24, 2015, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at Miramar National Cemetery in San Diego, California with military honors.
Gary passed away June 21, 2015, in Flippin, Arkansas at the age of 57. He was born May 2, 1958, in Orange, California, the son of Benjamin Wheelock and Eleanor Melin Hayes. He worked as a Brick Mason and was a U.S. Army veteran. Gary lived in Flippin since 2010, moving from California.
Gary is survived by his father, Benjamin (Jane) Wheelock of Meeker, OK; mother, Eleanor Hayes of Memphis, TN; brother, Darrell (Anne) Wheelock of Vancouver, WA; sister, Jeannie (Pud) Graves of Memphis, TN; and niece, Becky Wheelock of Vancouver, WA.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Roger Wheelock.
Memorials may be made to the Prostate Cancer Foundation at or any Veterans' Organization.
Arrangements are by Kirby and Family Funeral and Cremation Services.
