Freda June Maynard

A Funeral Service for Freda June Maynard of Gepp, Arkansas, will be 4:00 pm, Monday, April 2, 2018, at Bakersfield First Assembly of God Church, with Reverend Curt Tackitt officiating. Visitation will be from 3:00 pm until time of service.

Freda passed away March 29, 2018, in Gepp, Arkansas at the age of 76. She was born June 8, 1941, in Gepp, Arkansas, the daughter of Everett and Arizona Deatherage Tackitt. She married R.L. Maynard on September 12, 1959, in Cotter, Arkansas and was a homemaker. Freda was a lifetime resident of the area. She was a member of the Bakersfield First Assembly of God Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and going to church.

Freda is survived by her husband, R.L. Maynard of Gepp, AR; two daughters, LaQueta (Steven) Smith of Mountain Home, AR and Charlotte Bridges of Salem, AR; son, Brad (Jodie) Maynard of Gepp, AR; seven grandchildren, Brittany, Brandi, Chase, Bailey, Roy, Averie and Marlee; nine great-grandchildren, Carter, Audrie, Gabby, Arizona, Dakota, Hazel, Mason, Ashton and Emma; two brothers, Harold (Faye) Tackitt of Thayer, MO and Jim (Emma) Tackitt of Gepp, AR and two sisters, Helen Karstedt of Beloit, WI and Bessie Biddle of Mount Ayr, IA. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Marsha Maynard; three sisters, Elsie, Lorene and Zelma and brother, Joe Tackitt.

Burial will be in the Hurst Cemetery, Gepp, Arkansas, with B.J. Tackitt, Lynn Guffey, Larry Price, Joe Pool, Rick Bales and Verlin Cotter as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Chase Walker, Jerry Parton, Kenneth Parton and Roy Bridges.

Memorials may be made to the Peitz Cancer Support House.
