Evelyn June Wensel

A Memorial Service for Evelyn June Wensel of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 11:00 am, Friday, June 15, 2018, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home, with Celebrant Heather Marsalis officiating. Visitation will be Friday, June 15, 2018, from 10:00 until 11:00 am, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home.

June passed away June 10, 2018, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 89. She was born June 14, 1928, in Princeton, Nebraska, the daughter of Samuel Paul and Mae Louise Slafter Rolofson. She married Charles Wensel on April 6, 1947, in Tarkio, Missouri. June lived in Mountain Home since moving from Tarkio, Missouri, in 1972. She was a member of the V.F.W. and American Legion Auxiliaries. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

June is survived by her two sons, Keith (Ann) Wensel of Fairfax, MO, and Charles L (Opal) Wensel of Gassville, AR; daughter, Kathy (A.J.) Pennison of Mountain Home, AR; brother, Melvin Rolofson of Sandy, OR; six grandchildren, Kerry, Alicia, April, Kim, Sean, and Emily; and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by parents; husband; two brothers, Gayle Rolofson and Pete Rolofson; and three sisters, Mildred Rosenloff, Lucille Southard, and Esther Southard.

Burial will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery, Mountain Home, Arkansas.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Ozarks.
