Edward Zacher

A Memorial Mass for Edward Zacher of Bull Shoals, Arkansas, will be 10:00 am, Friday, May 18, 2018, at St. Peter The Fisherman Catholic Church, with Father Norbert Rappold as Celebrant. Visitation will be Thursday, May 17, 2018, from 5:00 until 7:00 pm with Military Honors at 6:00 pm, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel in Bull Shoals, Arkansas.

Ed passed away May 13, 2018, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 84. He was born August 5, 1933, in Hague, North Dakota, the son of Stephan and Barbara Jaeger Zacher. He married Diane Hodges Patterson on May 16, 1987, in Menomonee Falls, WI and worked as a Machinist for Briggs & Stratton. He also obtained his real estate/broker license. Ed was a proud veteran of the United States Army. He was a perpetual volunteer when it came to Veterans Causes and the Catholic Church, he was a member of the Hoevel-Barnett Post V.F.W #1341, a thirty year member of the Knights of Columbus serving as District Deputy and Grand Knight and he donated his time to the VA Hospital in Little Rock helping collect coats, giving rides or moral support. He was a life long Hall of Fame blood donor of 138 gallons. Ed volunteered at Baxter Regional Medical Center. Ed was well known in his community and his joyful and loving heart will be clearly missed on this earth by so many.

Ed is survived by his wife, Diane Zacher of Bull Shoals, AR; daughter, Lynn Saegert (Rick) of WI; step-sons, Michael (Pam) Patterson of WI and Tim Patterson of WA; brothers, Charlie Zacher of AZ and Steve Zacher of WI; sister, Helen Burja of WI and nine grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Peter, Adam and Aloys Zacher and sisters, Catherine Malsam and Barbara Jangula.
