Edward passed away May 23, 2016, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 75. He was born September 29, 1940, in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Edward and Pauline Boratko Benson. He married Vernia (Verna) Stephens on April 2, 2016, at Mountain Home, Arkansas. He retired from the AM Castle Company and was a U.S. Army veteran. Edward lived in Mountain Home since 2002, moving from Mc Henry, Illinois. He enjoyed restoring and collecting old cars.
Edward is survived by his wife, Verna Benson of Mountain Home, AR; step-son, Mark (Michelle) Graham of Downers Grove, IL; five grandchildren; three brothers, Chuck, Larry and Johnny Benson and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife of 26 years, Gail Hockett Benson and step-son, Russell Graham.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Ozarks.
