Dixie passed away November 29, 2016, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 71. She was born January 28, 1945, in Mason City, Iowa, the daughter of Lyle and Florence Cory Rockow. She married Charles Carlyle on June 28, 1975, at San Diego, California and was a homemaker. Dixie was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War and lived in Lakeview since 1984, moving from San Diego, California. She was a member of the Christ By The Lake Lutheran Church and enjoyed camping and twice yearly trips to the Gulf Coast.
Dixie is survived by her husband, Charles Carlyle of Lakeview, AR; brother, David Rockow of Columbus, OH; sister, Valarie (Jerry) Bahnsen of Anoka, MN; son, Robert (Laurel) Carlyle of San Diego, CA; daughter, Tammy (Steve) Wolff of Cabo San Lucas, Mexico; and grandchildren, Bobby and Jessica Wolff.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Burial will be in the Miramar National Veterans Cemetery in San Diego, California.
Arrangements are by Kirby and Family Funeral and Cremation Services.
