A Graveside Service for Connie Kay Ray of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 1:00 pm, Thursday, August 24, 2017, at Morning Star Cemetery, Hot Springs, Arkansas, with Reverend Bob Featherston, of Doniphan, Missouri, officiating.
Connie passed away August 18, 2017, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 64. She was born June 14, 1953, in Harlan, Iowa, the daughter of Earl and Viola Peterson Waddell. She married Wayne Ray on January 16, 1982, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Connie worked at Regions Bank, formerly Arkansas Bank and Trust, where she held various positions over the years. After retiring from banking, she worked for the Garland County Clerk's office for 3 years. She enjoyed reading and fishing, as well as spending time with her family. She also loved her dog, Jezebel. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Harlan, Iowa.
Connie is survived by her husband, Wayne Ray, of Mountain Home, AR; 4 children, Colleen (Mark) Ball, of Bryant, AR, Brian (Trenda) Ray of Little Rock, AR, William "Bill" Ray, of Alexander, AR and Tara (Robert) Wright, of Fayetteville, AR; her sister, Carolyn (Dean) Finken, of Atlantic, Iowa, brother, Bruce (Brenda) Waddell, of Harlan, Iowa; 8 grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins and her best friend, Shirley Hensley, of Mountain Home, AR.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Burial will be in the Morning Star Cemetery, Hot Springs, Arkansas.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Ozarks, Hospice House, 701 Burnett Drive, Mountain Home, AR 72653.
