A Graveside Memorial Service for Bernice J. Steffgen Nicholls of Goodyear, Arizona, formerly of Mountain Home, will be 11:00 am, Thursday, October 6, 2016, at Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery, Mountain Home, Arkansas, with Pastor John Easterling officiating.
Bernice passed away August 25, 2016, in Goodyear, Arizona, at the age of 89. She was born October 15, 1926, in Waukegan, Illinois, the daughter of Fredrick and Erma Tunak Graff. She married Morris "Nick" Nicholls on November 27, 1993, at Mountain Home, Arkansas, and worked for Baxter Laboratories. Bernice lived in Gassville, Arkansas, since moving from Idaho. She moved to Goodyear, Arizona, after Nick passed away, to be closer to her daughter. She was a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church, the Moose Lodge #1953, and the Eagles Lodge #3183 FOE.
Bernice is survived by her two daughters, Paula Steffgen of Goodyear, AZ and Virginia Mundekis of Goodyear, AZ
She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands, Paul Steffgen and Morris "Nick" Nicholls; and son, William Francis.
Arrangements are by Kirby and Family Funeral and Cremation Services.
