Beatrice Alice Shipley

A Visitation for Beatrice "Alice" Shipley of Jordan, Arkansas, will be Sunday, March 8, 2015, from 5:00 until 8:00 pm, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel.
Alice peacefully passed away March 4, 2015, in Jordan, Arkansas, surrounded by her family, at the age of 82. She was born April 3, 1932, in Davenport, Iowa, the daughter of Fred and Gertie Hill Clifton. She married her sweetheart, Robert Everett Shipley on October 22, 1949, in Davenport Iowa and enjoyed working as a homemaker. Alice lived in Jordan since 1982, moving from Illinois. She was an avid gardener and loved making indian dolls.
Beatrice is survived by her son, Gary (Lynda) Shipley of FL; four daughters, Nancy (John) Bielser of AR, Vickie (Carl-passed 2008) Dickerson, of AR; Deborah (Roger) Sweat of IN and Becky (Don) Nerge of AR; one sister, Pauline (Larry-passed 2014) Shannon, of AL; 17 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; two sisters, Irene Brown and Margaret McCaffrey and one daughter, Sharon Ecklund.
Arrangements are by Kirby and Family Funeral and Cremation Services.
